Read more →Music Row Magazine – Michael Knox will assume leadership of peermusic’s Nashville operations, when longtime office head Kevin Lamb steps down at the end of August.
Knox, who joined peermusic in 2010, is being promoted from Sr. Creative Director to Vice President, Nashville. Additionally, Kim Wiggins will rise to Sr. Creative Director and Craig Currier is being elevated to Vice President of Advertising Markets.
Lamb has served as VP, Nashville since 1993. Prior to that the industry veteran spent 10 years in music publishing in Muscle Shoals and nine years overseeing Alabama’s Maypop Music Group. He is an active supporter of Country Cares for St. Jude Kids.
Knox is most noted for his production work with Jason Aldean, which has resulted in over 25 million singles and 10 million albums sold. He has won three ACM Awards and has at least 14 No. 1 singles to his credit. Other production credits include Thomas Rhett, Trace Adkins, Brantley Gilbert, Frankie Ballard, Hank Williams, Jr. and more.
Knox also helms his production management company Music Knox, and serves on the boards of directors of the CMA and ACM.

Michael Knox produced the 10-song set, which includes five songs co-written by Clark, as well as two songwriting credits from Brandy Clark (The Band Perry and Miranda Lambert). Clark teamed with PledgeMusic to create the project with the involvement of her fans.

Read more →Music Row – by Jessica Nicholson Middle Tennessee State University’s College of Mass Communication celebrated students past and present with its recent Wall of Fame alumni induction ceremony. CMT’s Margaret Comeaux and record producer Michael Knox were among 75 fellow mass communications leaders on the college’s Wall of Fame.
Comeaux, who is Sr. Director of Music and Events Production for CMT, oversees the creation, development and production of music and live-event specials for the network. The 1995 MTSU graduate serves as executive producer in charge of the annual “CMT Music Awards,” the critically acclaimed “CMT Crossroads” series and “CMT Artists of the Year.”
Music producer Knox has worked with some of the biggest names in Country music, but is perhaps best known for his production work with Jason Aldean. Along with forming a production management company, Music Knox, with three of his clients, Knox, a 2001 MTSU graduate, also serves as Sr. creative director for peermusic Group in Nashville.
