Award-winning producer Michael Knox is celebrating this month with his second produced single to hit the coveted No.1 spot on the charts.
Thomas Rhett’s single, “It Goes Like This,” marks Knox’s 13th produced single to obtain the No.1 spot in country music. Earlier in the month, the Knox-produced “Night Train” from country superstar Jason Aldean reached top placement as well, making it the 12th No.1 shared by Aldean and Knox.
For Valory Music’s Thomas Rhett, “It Goes Like This” marks his first No.1 single as an artist, “It’s really cool to be a part of an artist’s first number one,” says Knox. “It was great getting to cut some songs with Thomas. I’m a big fan of him as an artist, but also a writer. I’ve had the pleasure of cutting his songs on Aldean in the past with ‘1994’ and ‘I Ain’t Ready To Quit.'”
